Dr. Frasier Crane : Kelsey Grammer
Born in St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands 1955, Grammer moved to New Jersey with his mother after his parents' divorce. Surrounded by personal tradged he has had to endure his father's murder, sister's rape and murder and his twin half-brother's being killed in a shark attack while scuba diving. He has been married three times, and has 3 daughters and one son. He is most famous for the title character in the TV show 'Frasier', and has played the same character in two other shows 'Cheers' and 'Wings'. His deep, smooth voice has made him a popular choice for voice-over work (Simpsons, Toy Story2, Gary the Rat, Anastasia) as well as singing the theme for Frasier. His movie credits include 'Down Periscope' and the soon to be released 'X-Men: The last stand'.
Dr. Niles Crane : David Hyde Pierce
Born and raised in Saratoga Springs, New York 1959, he has 2 older sisters and an older brother. After study classical piano at Yal university, he turned to drama and graduated in 1981 with a double major in English and Theatre Arts. His first break came in the early 90s with 'The Powers that Be' (tv). Despite glowing reviews, production was cancelled after a just a few shows. His bad luck did not last long however, and because of his physical resemblance to Kelsey Grammer, the role of Niles Crane in the show Frasier was created for him. He has appeared in the movies 'Sleepless in Seattle', 'Little Man Tate' and 'Down With Love' as well as doing numerous voice-overs.
Martin Crane : John Mahoney
John Mahoney is an American actor, born in Blackpool, England 1940. After moving to America as a young man, he taught English and worked as an editor for a medical journal until the mid 1970s. Apporoaching middle age, he became disillusioned, and took acting classes. He had early success, and quit his day job to join Steppenwolf Theatre. Though he is most famous for his role in Frasier, he has played in many movies, 'Suspect', 'Moonstruck', 'Frantic', 'Say Anything...', 'Barton Fink', 'In the Line of Fire', 'The Hudsucker Proxy', 'The American President', 'Reality Bites' and 'Primal Fear'. Ironically, Mahoney had a single appearance in the show 'Cheers', as an unsuccessful jingle writer.
Daphne Moon/Crane : Jane Leeves
Jane Leeves was born in Ilford, England 1971 and grew up in East Grinstead. She was a trained ballet dancer and worked as a model, until appearing in 'The Meaning of Life' in her early 20s. She was a regular on the Benny Hill show and appeared in music videos, but struggled for visibility until she played the roommate on 'Throbi'. Her first real success was a recurring role on 'Murphy Brown', and subsequent appearances on 'Seinfeld' and the US version of 'Red Dwarf'. She joined 'Frasier' in 1983, and went on to become the highest paid British actress in Hollywood.
Roz Doyle : Peri Gilpin
Peri Gilpin (born Peri Kay O'Brien in 1961, Waco, Texas), the daughter of well known Baptist minister-turned-musician Jim O'Brien. Both her brother and sister are actors. As well as 'Frasier', Peri has done lots of voice-over work including; 'Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within', 'Danny Phantom', 'Superman: The Animated Series' and 'Justice League Unlimited'.
Eddie : "Moose" (a Jack Russell Terrier) and after 8 years, his puppy "Enzo" took over the role.
